Quran program

Our Qur’an program offers two distinct paths, allowing each student to choose what best suits their goals and preferences. At the end of either path, students have the opportunity to move into the Ijazah Program.

Option One: Qur'an Recitation Program (without memorization)

Available for children and adults alike.

Before beginning, each student takes a placement test to determine their appropriate starting level. This program is structured into four progressive levels:

Foundation

This is the exploration stage. Students begin by learning to pronounce, hear, and write the Arabic letters using well-established curricula such as Noor Al-Bayan or Al-Qaidah An-Nooraniyyah. By the end of this level, the student masters all Arabic letters, recognizes them in their various forms (initial, medial, final), and becomes familiar with the Uthmani script used in the Qur’an.

Word Reading

Students refine their letter recognition through advanced reading and listening techniques, focusing on Harakat, Madd, and other essential phonetic skills. They then progress to reading words selected directly from the Qur’an, learning to read each word precisely as it appears in the Uthmani script.

Tajweed Rules

In this level, students learn the rules of Tajweed, allowing them to recite the Qur'an correctly and melodiously. By the end of this stage, the student will be able to recite the Qur’an with proper rules and rhythm with at least 80% accuracy.

Mastery & Deep Recitation Skills

Here, students learn:

  • The articulation points (Makharij) and characteristics (Sifaat) of each letter.
  • How to pronounce each letter precisely from its correct origin, with its proper characteristics.
  • The intonation and performance aspects that bring meaning to recitation.
  • The rules of stopping and starting (Waqf & Ibtidaa), uncovering the subtle beauty and meanings embedded in Qur’anic verses.
  • Students begin to enjoy the depth and secrets of the Qur’an’s unique rhythm and expression.

Option Two: Full Recitation & Memorization Program

This includes all the recitation components of Option One, with the addition of memorization and review.

Memorization follows a carefully designed structure based on student levels:

  • Students start with short Surahs through guided repetition (Talqeen).
  • Once the student is able to read from the Mushaf independently, memorization proceeds as follows:

Each session is divided into three parts:

  1. First third – Review
A structured revision plan ensures nothing is forgotten. The plan includes:
    • Close review of recent memorization.
    • Distant review of older sections.
These two reviews work in reverse timelines until they converge in the middle. The cycle is then repeated to maintain long-term retention.
  2. Second third – New Memorization Preparation
The student reads the assigned passage in front of the teacher to correct pronunciation. Afterward, the student memorizes the portion at home and then presents it in the next session.
  3. Final third – Tajweed Instruction
Tajweed rules are taught progressively, following the level-specific curriculum.

Ijazah Program

For students who complete the full memorization of the Qur’an, a final assessment is offered for those wishing to pursue the esteemed Ijazah.

Ijazah Stage:

  • After passing the exam that confirms strong memorization and command of Tajweed, the student begins reciting the Qur’an to a certified Sheikh who holds a Sanad (authentic chain of transmission) back to the Prophet Muhammad .
  • Upon completing the recitation, the student receives an official Ijazah certificate and a Qur’an memorization diploma from the institute.

This stage also includes the study of Qur’anic vocabulary and meanings, deepening the student’s understanding of the divine message.
